Welcome to Lewis Genetics!!
Welcome to our farm. We are located just north of Cedar Rapids, IA. Lewis Genetics was started in 2005 with a good sow herd, but now in 2011 our sow herd is continuing to improve and our genetics our better then they have ever been. Whether you’re looking for a great 4-H or FFA project, replacement gilts or even boars, we have it all. The farm is always open to visitors so give us a call. We especially love to help youth with their projects. You can really get it all at Lewis Genetics. We will follow the pig from the farm to the show by offering daily care and feeding recommendations, pig health protocols and even showmanship techniques.
We are very excited about our 2012 offering. 33 of our 76 litters will be sired by Sweet Tooth. This boar has matured better than my expectations for him, and those were very high. We will farrow 24 of the top end of gilts from a tremendous 2011 crop of pigs. In the past we have normally had 400 pigs to offer for sale in the spring, this spring we should have nearly 650 pigs to pick from! Check out many of our champions nation-wide on our Winners tab.
